Arlington, Texas - Curnutt & Hafer, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Douglas R. Hafer has been elected Arlington Bar Association ("ABA") President for the 2009-2010 term. Mr. Hafer's term as President began following a ceremony held May 21, 2009 at the Shady Valley Golf Club in Arlington, Texas. The Honorable Fred W. Davis, senior judge (retired), administered the oath. Formed in 1961, the ABA is an association of attorneys either living or working in Arlington, Texas. The ABA sponsors a number of activities, including a monthly legal clinic held at the Women's Center in Arlington, and an annual barbecue honoring the Judiciary. Previously, Mr. Hafer completed a term as ABA President-elect, and he has also served as the ABA Secretary/Treasurer. Curnutt & Hafer partner Kelly J. Curnutt served as ABA President in 2005.
